Study program of Master of chemical engineering was founded in 2015 after a years-long process of curriculum development and registration process to the Ministry of Research and Higher Education. The program establishment was marked by the Ministry approval no. 153/KPT/I/2015 published on 4 December 2015.
Student admission was opened in the academic year of 2016-2017 in which the teaching-learning activities were then started. The study program was delivered based on the 2016 curriculum which contains a set of modules of 41 credits (SKS).
In 2017, a curriculum review has been conducted to update the 2016 curriculum so that it would be more appropriately meeting the requirements to achieve the program vision and mission. At the moment, the master degree course is delivered using this revised curriculum which contains compulsory modules (34 credits) and elective modules (9 credits). Students will study all modules with total credits of 43 (SKS). The normal duration to complete this degree program is 2 years (4 semesters).
